My Year - Jiro Taniguchi / Jean-David Morvan

Capucine just turned eight. She’s a girl just like any other... Except for one “small” difference: Capucine has trisomy 21, also known as down syndrome. The problem is that she does not have the typical physical characteristics of this disorder. For this reason, people do not understand why she is “so different”.

Spring will be a time of change in Capucine’s life, as she will suddenly see many problems bloom that until then were nothing but buds. Among a public school that rejects her, a seriously ill aunt, a worried family and parents about to burst, Capucine will have to learn to “control” her and others’ problems.
